Today’s the day. The Ohio State-Michigan football game. It often the most important game of the Big Ten season because these two teams are always in the hunt for a championship. But this year it’s a little different. Ohio State has already secured the Big Ten Champions title for the 5th year in a row and we are headed to the Rose Bowl for the first time in 13 years!!! Michigan has had a rough couple of years and a win today would give them bragging rights, a moral victory.
I love this game, always the last game of the season, but I’m always a little sad too because that means that college football is coming to an end for another year. Yes, the bowl games are a couples of days on non-stop football, but Ohio State has not been putting their best foot forward in the past few years, so the bowl game comes with trepidation.
So, here’s hoping for a Buckeye victory today. Feel free to leave a little love for your favorite team.
The Game. Go Bucks!
Wish we could watch it together.
Well, being a Sparty and all I should encourage the rivalry against Michigan but instead I’m going to be a true Michigander and root for maize and blue today!!! Have fun watching the game Stacy!!!
That’s just all wrong! Jason is a Spartan too and he always wants Michigan to lose. But since you are living in Michigan I’ll let it slide 😉
Go Buckeyes! Tech plays NC State today – our big rivalry game is next weekend. It’s a rivalry within our family as well as between the two schools.
It does add extra excitement when it’s a rivalry within the family too.
BEST GAME OF THE YEAR!!!!! GO BUCKS!!!! BEAT MICHIGAN!!! Oh I don’t give a damn for the whole state of michigan.. the whole state of michigan.. the whole state of michigan..don’t give a damn for the whole state of michigan cuz we’re from O-HI-O!! WOOOOOOOO… hub and I are both in our respective shirts.. let rivalry saturday begin!
I’d love to see a pic of you and your hubby. You in your bad ass Buckeye shirt and he in his wimpy Wolverine one 😉 OH-
Well, while I’m not too hopeful, I must say GO BLUE!!! Beat those Buckeyes!
GO GATORS…I’m from 20miles south of Gainesville…love them Gators.
Watching the scores on ESPN while I work. 🙂 wish I was home watching..
At least you have a job where you can keep updated 🙂
Glad for your win.
Well I see Stacy is a happy Buckeye today! Congrats. Your team came up roses ;0)
I am a happy Stacybuckeye 🙂
photos added to my page .. 🙂
Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations Stacy, on the Buck’s victory! How exciting that they get to go to the Rose Bowl!!! If we (M) didn’t have 5! turnovers, we may have been in better shape. 🙂 I’m disappointed in M in one sense (just the fact that we have lost and lost and lost), but on the other hand – I think Rodriguez is developing a great team. He’s had a lot to deal with, so hopefully next year we come back strong and win. Many of our games were close though, so it was a great season to watch and root for – unfortunately they didn’t come out with many Wins though. Again, congrats and enjoy the bowl! 🙂
And . . . I agree – I’m so sad to see the season end. I’ve been following NE Patriots (Detroit Lions – blah) and have been having a ball. They will provide me with my football fix until the new year. 🙂
Thanks for the well wishes – you are a nicer competitor than me 🙂 I rarely say anything good about Michigan sports, but even I felt for your quarterback yesterday. That last interception was heartbreaking for guy and I felt bad for him. The jury is still out on Rodriguez, but that may be just because I don’t like the way he’s handled himself since deciding to leave West Virginia.
I feel like I watch so much college football that I would never get off the couch if I watched the NFL too. Sadly, we do check in the the Browns if we’re home, so I feel your pain. My husband’s from Michigan, so he is a Lions fan.
I lived in Cols when I was in college and my brother lives there now. I’m always amazed by how intense some fans can be.
