In April I asked that you all participate in my 5 word reviews by adding 5 words of your own. For each review posted I would contribute $1 to charity. When we reach $100 the person who contributed the most reviews would get to choose the charity. Well, we are up to $99 and I’d like to get that check out! So, please contribute your reviews (list here). Since I’ve still got the holiday spirit I’ll keep contributing $1 for a week, even if we go over $100.
I’ve read three of your favorites: Good Grief, Husband & Wife, Big Stone Gap – liked them all. Here’s to good reading in 2012!
It’s so hard making these lists, isn’t it? You need to finish the Big Stone Gap books – the whole series is great.
No top ten from Gage? LOL Maybe next year! :–)
I loved A Room with A View. Have you read Howards End? It’s even better…
I think I should read Roots at some point. Sounds powerful.
“Big Stone Gap” – the entire series – is one of my favorites. Glad you discovered it. I’m impressed with your total for the year. I made it to 60 books this year and am shooting for 75 in 2012.
Happy New Year – and many more good reads!
I’ve read three of the books on your favorites list and have seen 4 of the movies. Great year of reading! Happy New Year.
I read 5 of them and loved them too!! Great books…and I think you did great for 2011! I’m writing down your movie picks!! 😀
Happy New Year!!
I want to continue the series with Gretchen. You have many I want to read. I started Good Grief but it was to similar to read before it so I will go back to that one. Nice to see it on your list.
Happy New Year Stacy
I really really must see Bridesmaids!! I can’t believe I haven’t seen it yet!
Wishing you a wonderful 2012 filled with 5 star reads!
I cant say I have read any of those books. Geeze oh well but I have had a mostly “fantasy” genre year.
The movies I agree with they were all good picks. I just saw the help and love love love it.
Bridemaids was my favorite! It’s now one of my all-time faves! Great list of books, too. Can’t wait for more reviews of books and movies and more Gage!
I need to see it again!
I loved Good Grief when I read it a few years ago! I just discovered Adriana Trigiani this year – and I definitely plan to read the Big Stone Gap series at some point. 🙂
I’m hoping to continue with the Big Stone Gap series this year.
