Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following: Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!). Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.
The chill that spread through Molly was different from any that she had experienced previously. It was not a quivery thing localized along the spine or the nape of the neck, did not shiver through her like a vagrant breath of eternity, but lingered. A coldness seemed to be spawned in the very cavities of her bones, in the red-and-yellow mush of marrow, from which it spread outward to every cell in every extremity.
The Taking by Dean Koontz Chapter 21
Okay, so it’s three sentences, but who’s counting? This is a perfect one for Halloween-time. What are you reading today?
Sounds creepy…perfect for the season!
Spooky! Here’s my Teaser
Creepy, all encompassing chill. Great teaser!
Here’s my Teaser Tuesday.
Ooh… I bought that on vacation in June and still haven’t read it. Mine is here.
I have not read any Koontz. He sure is very popular in India!
Teaser Tuesdays: The Secret Hour by Luanne Rice
Oooh! Now that’s a great description!
I’m staying away from that one. I don’t think I’d like reading my name over and over again in a terrifying setting!
Very well written. Yes, it’s scary but I love the way he put so many words into those three sentences and made me feel exactly the way Molly feels. Good one, Stacy.
Creepy!
That gives me shivers. I have not read any Koontz.
Now that is scary, and very well done. Good teaser!
Boy, he is definitely good at the creepy effect! Thanks for the teaser.
Creepy, very creepy. Mine is here: http://rundpinne.blogspot.com/2009/10/casting-off-teaser-tuesdays.html
Well, I’m not reading that one for sure!! He gives me the heebie jeebies!
Excellent teaser. I haven’t read a Koontz novel in ages!!
Creeeeepy…
Wow great teaser
That is perfect for October. I haven’t Koontz in eons. Always a good story.
The cover fits the season well too. Can’t wait to read your review.
I’m reading THe lovely Bones! I’ve read a couple of his earlier books, but they were too scary! I’ll have to pick up another one again!
I love Dean Koontz/ I haven’t read this one (as of yet)! Great teaser!

I read a Koontz many years ago that still has me avoiding mirrors at night!! I won’t touch his novels now but I have a friend who is not as easily spooked as me who loves Koontz. Great description in that teaser — poetic with all that alliteration.
Koontz is definitely a great author to read this time of year. 🙂 I love the teaser, Stacy.
