Sundays with Gage – Father’s Day addition

There are lots of dads in the world, but not nearly as many good ones.  I have been blessed in my life with two great dads, my own and Jason.  My dad was strict but fun and let me know he loved me a lot of different ways.  I grew up knowing that a good father makes a real difference in your life.  Gage saves his best smiles for grandpa.

I have also been lucky enough to marry a guy who is an awesome dad.  Different than the one I grew up with, but just as wonderful.  He changes diapers, feeds him and sings to him when that’s the only thing that will do.  I love parenting with him and can’t imagine a better dad for Gage.

I have every confidence that Gage will grow into a great man.  He’s got two perfect examples in his dad and grandpa.

Isn’t it amazing and fun to see your husband become a dad? i’ve enjoyed seeing my husband and my son bond … but I can already tell they are going to butt heads when my Little One is older!

Some moments between them totally melt my heart. Too early to tell if they’ll be peas in a pod or not.

That is so sweet and such an affirmation for both your dad and Jason. Gage is very lucky to have such great parents and granparents. I agree with Jenners that it is special when you get to see your husband become a dad. Mine took off a while ago to play some golf, but before he left he got a call from our girl, on her way to work (she’s a labor & delivery nurse) and they chatted for quite a while. That’s usually more my function with her, but I love it when she and her dad talk a while. It’s been a good Father’s Day. I’ve missed my Dad, but he’s in a better place now for sure and I had a little chat with him this morning before church. Told him I missed him. Told him Happy Father’s Day. 🙂

It’s sweet that your daughter appreciates your hubby. I am sorry that your dad is not here for father’s day, but you know he’s always with you.

What a wonderful post. I know personally that both Jason and your Dad are great dads. I was blessed, too, with a wonderful Dad. May we never take them for granted. Great pictures!

Always love the pictures of Gage and your thoughts. Both the photographs are very very good.

I kept thinking of my dad the whole day (we lost him 9 years back). My younger brother must have felt the same way. He called me in the evening to go watch a movie with them. He said let’s celebrate Father’s Day. DAD would have wished for us to be happy and not sad thinking about him. I agree. My brother is a great dad to his son. But than all three of my brothers are!

That’s so nice that you celebrated in honor of your dad. You are lucky to have a brother to share that with.
