I love movies and with an infant in the house it is nice that watching movies is something I can share with my husband and still take care of the baby. So, I’m sure 2011 will bring more moving watching and less book reading. This year I’ve added reviews of some of my favorite movies- Only You, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, A Few Good Men, Four Weddings And a Funeral, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Romancing the Stone, Silence of the Lambs, Pride & Prejudice miniseries. The rest of my favorite 100 movies is here. It’s an ongoing project.
I also keep track of movies I see for the first time in my monthly 5 word reviews. This year I watched 63 movies and here are my favorite 10 with their 5 words…
Dreams. Orginal. Ending Greatly Debated.
Endearing Robot Saves 2805 Earth.
Quirky Charming Original Un-Love Story.
Politics Sure Hasn’t Changed Much.
War. Iraq. Bombs. Tense Thriller.
Funny. Bateman & Affleck are perfect.
Crime Scene Cleanup Made Heartwarming.
Inception and The Hurt Locker would definitely make my list too!
Avatar was one of my favorite movies this year. I didn’t see it in 3D and I can imagine it is even better.
You listed some that I’ve been very curious about and now will definitely check them out from my library!! 😀
500 days of summer was unexpectedly fun and a fave of mine. I really have to say the ending was the best part.
Loved Inception and Avatar – also in my top five movies of the year. Avatar because it’s just breathtaking and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Inception because it just blew my mind.
I have not seen Avatar in 3D 😦
63 movies…holy cow! I should start keeoing track too. Ditto on Hurt Locker and Penelope. I wasn’t crazy about Avatar. I know I’m in the minority on that one.
Inception – was very clever. We enjoyed it.
Wall-e – just adorable. Im a sucker for animated films and it needs to be bad for me not to like one (Alpha and Omega BAD).
Sunshine Cleaning & New in Town are two I want to see.
Avatar – um I know its bad to say but wasn’t really taken by it. For me it was just an average movie with some pretty cool effects. To be fair when I was it I was not in best frame of mind!
I loved Inception too. I can’t wait to see it again now that it is on DVD.
I will be in the same boat soon enough, I’m sure! Thank goodness I like movies. 🙂 You’ve listed several great movies. Inception was my top favorite this year. I saw The Hurt Locker last year and really liked it–and Sunshine Cleaning. I also really liked WALL.E.
Very good revision! Thanks for this!
