My friend Molly of both The Bumbles Blog and Quirky Girls Read is hosting a challenge. And since Molly is fun, creative and just all around great, I thought I would join in and invite you to do the same.
She couldn’t have made the challenge any easier. Read a classic book before Labor Day, review it (linking to Molly’s challenge post) and add your post to Mr. Linky. And you can enter as many classics as you want!
Did I mention she’s giving out an Amazon gift card? You should probably head over there and check it out for yourself!
The Classic Bribe
I am currently reading A Room with a View by Forster (and loving it) and hope to get Emma by Austen in this summer too. I also need to read Roots and Mists of Avalon. What about you? Is there a classic that you’d like to read this summer and this challenge is just the thing to give you a gentle push?

Yeah! This one looks so fun! A Room With a View is also on my list for soon to read. Look forward to your reviews.
I loved A Room with a View! And Emma too!
I’m planning to re-read North and South this summer – the book as well as the mini-series are both amazing!
Both are on my wish list!
Good luck with the challenge, Stacy. I love reading a good classic now and then.
I should probably enter: yesterday I experienced that sudden once-a-year craving I get to reread Jane Eyre!
Love Jane Eyre and heven’t read it in years. I need to do a re-read. I do watch the movies and love seeing all of the different adaptations.
Aw, thanks! The more Classics read, the better – in my book at least ;0)
I am working my way through War and Peace!
That should count for 4!
A Room with A View is wonderful! I hope you’re enjoying it! And definitely read Emma! It will make you laugh & it’s a great choice for a summer read.
I’m going to read one of Elizabeth Gaskell’s books, i think or maybe Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen and most definitely, Candide!
I have Northanger Abbey too so I look forward to seeing what you think. It seems like Austen lovers always talk about the other ones, but not that one.
I have been going back and forth with this challenge. Not sure I can fit one in before then. Loved Room with a View, and watched the BBC version last year as well. Mists of Avalon was awesome too! Hope you enjoy them and happy reading 🙂
I’ll have to look for the BBC version of A Room with a View. Thank you so much for voting for it – Loved It!
