TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
- Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!
“I live in a one-bedroom, one-bath, unremarkable apartment in a three-story brick box of a building on the outskirts of Trenton, New Jersey. Usually I live alone with my hamster Rex, but at eight-thirty this morning, my roommate list was enlarged to include Carl the Monkey.”
Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich, page 1
Tease me!

good teaser, I am really looking forward to this book!
The minute I read Trenton I knew it had to be Stephanie. I love these books. Thanks for the reminder.
That’s quite a beginning!
Great teaser! I never thought to use the opening of the book – sometimes they are so wonderful. 🙂
Here’s my Teaser! I’m also giving away 15 galley copies of this book via the publisher, so stop by and see if you want to enter! 🙂 ~ Wendi
That sounds like a lot better roommate option than some I have had in the past!
I keep hearing about these books..how funny they are. Apparently its true!
Thanks for the chuckle.
“Machinery was three and liked to bang things against other things arythmically while hollering atonally. Avarice was five, not toilet trained, and prone to tripping. I’d get Marta novelty coffee from the Stinkbucks on Twenty-Third and we’d drink it together while Machinery and Avarice engaged in terrible, life-threatening play with the other kids in the park.”

I am excited to read this one. I’ve heard it’s good!
Enjoy! I love this series.
I’ve never read Janet Evanovich, but I’ve heard so much about Stephanie Plum! I feel like I should read one book in the series at least, but I’m afraid I may get hooked and have to read them all! Love the teaser!
This sounds like a fun story.
