This Week – Sick Kid in the House

I stayed up until 3:30 this morning finishing this ridiculous 1000 piece puzzle.

It’s one of our rented puzzles from Completing the Puzzle and I just wanted to be done. But sometimes when you make bad decisions, like staying up until 3:30 am, they come back to bite you. As I was getting my water to take to bed I hear Gage getting sick in his bathroom. So, I was up all night with him. When Jason got up at 8:15 I was able to nap for an hour and a half. The boy is still sick with vomiting and fever so it’s been a long day.

We’ve had a good week though. His friend had Spring Break so he spent a night here and they spent a day having fun together. One of the perks of homeschooling is being able to take days off for important things, like time with good friends.

We finished up season 3 of Emily in Paris on Netflix last night. I always want to go buy new clothes after watching.

Plans for the Weekend

Getting the boy healthy and SLEEP!

What are your (hopefully) more exciting plans for the weekend?

Good luck with a quick recovery. I hope it’s just one of those ordinary bugs with no complicaitons.

I’m impressed by you finishing this puzzle with a sick child to care for too! The puzzle looks hard and I sure hope your son is feeling better now.

You mentioned in a comment on my blog you are studying Antarctica this week and that was the name of a book I finished. It’s deceptively named – it’s not about Antarctica at ALL! A book for short stories.

Ah, I guess I read the short stories part, but missed there was no Antarctica, lol. I finished the puzzle and my son got sick directly after so there was no overlap, thank goodness because I really wanted that puzzle done and gone 🙂

So sorry your son is sick! Hopefully just a 24 bug that no one else gets. We homeschooled as well and it was fun to be able to take off and visit with friends. I hope you have a great week!

that looks like a challenging puzzle but I could never manage a 3am time! I also love SA Cosby but hadn’t searched out the debut – now it’s on my TBR. Thanks for stopping by.

I love doing puzzles, but I agree, sometimes there’s ones that you just want to finish and be done with. Of course when you stayed up late, your child gets sick so that you get no sleep at all. Hope you got some rest and your son feels better!

That puzzle looks insane! We did a similar one and I remember wanting to be finished as soon as possible. So sorry to hear that Gage caught the stomach bug. Blech. You must have been exhausted the following day.
