It’s rained here every day for the last 16 days and yesterday I even had to wake up Gage from his nap to take him to the basement when a tornado warning rolled through town. When we visited France in 2010 our time in Lyon was perfect but Paris gave us more than one day of rain. Enjoy some gloomy pictures from around Paris and Versailles. Paris, even is the rain, was still beautiful.

When we did Paris for 5 days back in September, 2011, we thought it was the greatest city we had ever been to. We didn’t do a lot of excursions, but we did get to Versailles. It was amazing, as was the Eiffel Tower, among other jaunts. We would go back there in an instant.
It’s been raining like crazy here too and, oddly enough, it reminds me of our time living in Lyon. It rained quite a bit when we lived there. Paris is perfect to me, even in the rain.
Sorry about the crazy weather over there. I hope no tornadoes make it your way 😦 But those are some gorgeous photos of Paris!
It rained the entire time we were in Paris, too. It was October 2000. Crowds were low, which was great.

Rain on vacation can be a bummer but I think being in Paris, it’s not so bad! Love it!!

We’ve been getting a decent amount of rain — at least compared to the drought last year — too, I’m so grateful! Although 16 straight days would have me feeling gloomy, I’m pretty sure. I need the sun!
