Yesterday we tried the extra cool Easter eggs we found on Pinterest here. We only had the pictures for directions so here’s how we did it.
Gage helped Grandma crack the hardboiled eggs.
We added food coloring into the cracks and let them dry in the frig overnight.
Then Gage helped peel of the shells (since he only did one and ran away I didn’t get a picture). We skipped one step in the directions, rinsing off the shells, and wonder if it would have prevented the color from going all the way to the yolk. Gage licked one and I ate the yellow one and it was delicious 🙂
Happy Easter everyone!

They look pretty but I’m not sure I could eat one dyed like that. Happy Easter to you and your family, Stacy!
That’s why I ate the yellow one. The others scared me 🙂
That is very cool! I’ve never seen that type of egg dyeing before. Hope you all have a blessed Easter!
It was fun 🙂
They are beautiful! Great job!!! And Happy Easter!!!
Right back atcha!
Oh my gosh, those eggs are beautiful. They look like they’re made from marble and polished to a sheen. Love the pic of Gage with his grandma.
Happy Easter!
Why, thank you Beth. They do look like marble 😉
Looks like fun! Happy Easter to you and your family 🙂
You too 🙂
Cute. I remember those egg coloring days:)
I think next year we’ll try a different technique.
They look so beautiful! Easter with little kids is so much fun. (Except the part where they wake you up at 5 a.m.–at least, mine used to).
Oh, please no! Not 5! So far he hasn’t gotten excited enough for any holiday to wake up early for it.
i miss the days the multi-colored egg salad! Happy Easter Gage 🙂
That’s what I should have done with them! Next year.
Happy Easter to you too! Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Happy Easter, Stacy! Loved the pics.
How cute!
that’s so cute, happy Easter Stacy
Fun!!!! Pinterest has some good stuff. We still have a ton of eggs that we never got around to coloring due to the flu of death that hit our house last week. Maybe we should do some post Easter coloring! Gage is such a cutie!
I don’t think toddlers care if we color eggs during the correct week 🙂
He’s so adorable!! Great job on following the pictures 🙂
We skipped one step because we didn’t understand why they were washing the eggs with soap. Now we know 🙂
how fun, hope you had a nice Easter.
Fun!!! We did a bit of decorating (in the safety of my aunt’s house) and Elle had fun but she doesn’t get the cracking and peeling part either. Hope y’all had a happy Easter!
Gage enjoyed showing off the eggs once they were done 🙂
