This Week – Snow Snow Everywhere

Fave video – We got our snow this week, around a foot by Monday and we’ve had another inch or so since then. It’s so cold that this snow isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Highlights of the Week
– Quite a few people have reached out to me wanting to talk about something I posted here, on Facebook, or Instagram, all book related and it’s been nice to reconnect with old friends.

Gage’s nature camp still met, even in all of that snow, while it was still snowing AND 16 degrees!

Eh – I took on the Treasurer position of our Friends of the Library board this week. I said yes because I’m capable and we needed someone to step up. I’m not excited about it, BUT I also know I’m going to learn new skills so that’s a plus. I’ve agreed to do it for a year, so the countdown has begun, lol.

Could’ve been better
– My to do list for the week barely has barely been touched. We put off our February vacay until Omicron starts going down. We really don’t want to be a few days into a 3 week trip and get sick. We’re aiming for March now.

On TV
We’re a few episodes in to the new Netflix show Archive 81.

Movies First Man (film).png We enjoyed this movie about Ohio astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Plans for the weekend – I need to finish up a book for a blog tour tomorrow (not a problem since I’m loving it) and tomorrow will be all about figuring out the finances of the Friends and what I need to do and then starting in on that to do list.

What about you? What are you up to this weekend?

Pretty laid back here this weekend. Definitely not going anywhere, not because of covid, but the weather is in single digits and negatives. A good weekends to do some reading, watching TV, listening to music.

We are the opposite extreme. We are staying indoors because it is too hot, but it is summer for us so that probably not a surprise.

I loved the book Charlotte’s Web when I was a kid!

32 books read already, wow! I’m a very slow reader! I’ve read about four to six. I’m also watching movies though. We’ve been having less than an inch of snow here in NW Ohio. Have a great week.

Snow like that seems like a disaster situation to me. Just the idea that Nature Camp went on despite the snow is amazing.

You’ve certainly kept up with your goal of a book a day. Wow!

I’ve heard there’s a new audio version of Charlotte’s Web with Meryl Streep.

The Siren of Sussex is on my TBR list (probably audible) so I’ll watch for your thoughts! I shoveled a few inches of powder this morning. We are way low on snow for the season!

  6. Diane says:

WOW, you got a lot of snow. Our 1″ is gone but it’s been very very cold all week – 24 degrees today. You are really keeping up your book pace once again this year. The new audio of Charlotte’s Web with Meryl Streep and a full cast is wonderful! My son, DIL and granddaughter are doing to Disney next week – they are all vaccinated and parents boosted but – if it were me, I’d be staying home.

I appreciate the beauty of the snow so much more now that I don’t have to deal with it all winter, lol! My family in NY and PA are all talking about the cold, too. Charlotte’s Web was a childhood favorite and I also loved reading it with my kids. Probably a smart idea to postpone your travels until omicron is past peak. Sigh…

  8. Literary Feline says:

I hope Gage enjoyed the nature camp–even with the snow and cold. Brr! Good luck with the position as treasurer. I am sure you will do great. I am sorry you had to put off your vacation. I can understand though with the virus numbers being so high right now. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!
