This Week – April Fool’s Day Snow

Fave pic
Gage spent the night with my parents last weekend and Jason and I went to a park to take a walk and then play a game or two on the picnic table. You, know, dating Covid style, lol. And we followed the moon because it was gorgeous that night. This is the photo I took when we got back home.

Highlights of the Week – Hm. We had nice weather for a minute and then it snowed. All day long. But the day before we had another picnic in the park with some swinging and that was great.

It’s neck and neck in our March Madness contest. Gage is still winning by two points and Jason and I are tied in second place. My fate comes down to Gonzaga. If they win it all I beat both of my guys πŸ™‚ If not I must prepare myself for a Gage Yes Day.

When my dad came back from where I grew up he brought my favorite pizza. The downside is that I already ate my half and now what Jason has left in the fridge taunts me.

This has obviously been a pretty boring week.

Celebrating a friend’s 11th birthday by setting off rockets at a local park, lol. I’ll post pics if I can get a good one. The last one we did went 600 feet straight and this one is supposed to go 1000.

Pretty picture of the moon! It sure was bright a few nights ago, wasn’t it?

I’m glad you enjoyed Win. I’ve got a request in for it at our library and my husband and I will both read it. Win is a great character in the Myron Bolitar series and I’m very tempted to reread those books.

The weather has been crazy lately, but not crazy enough for me as we didn’t get any snow in Florida 😦

Your comment about Jason’s half of the pizza taunting you made me LOL!

You sure have been doing a lot of good reading!

Neat picture of the Moon. Quite a game between Gonzaga & UCLA … it must be fate at this point. I just recently finished the novel A Burning on audio and thought it was well done. Grim but effective. Happy Easter.

I was sad to see that UH lost yesterday to Baylor, but it’s not unexpected. I’m happy that UH made it this far. Great job, Cougs!

Snow? Wow. It’s so beautiful to see snow and I would imagine that it is always a beautiful sight. We’ve had a bit of cool weather here, too. My favorite thing is having cool nights, and that’s one of the best parts of spring and early summer.

Limitless sounds like a great read. I shall look for it.

I love the pic Stacy. I want to read – A Burning as well. Did you see the Jimmy Kimmel skit about Gonzaga last year ? He was saying he doubted it was a real college – it was so funny.

  6. Nise' (Under the Boardwalk) says:

Both of my grandsons’ teams lost over the weekend. I am still in it. We did not make the bet that you did! LOL Lovely picture, glad you were able to take advantage of the break in weather. Loved Win too and hope there is more to come.

  7. Tina says:

I haven’t read Harlan Cobin but I keep seeing his name and meaning to check out the books. Also, Schitt’s Creek – everyone is talking about it and I wonder if our library has the Dvds!

  8. Athira says:

Rockets at a birthday party! Now that is something I should try. Do post pictures if you get a chance.

That snow was so maddening last week. We only got a dusting down here but it was annoying to feel so cold. Thankfully, it looks like we are now in the warmer days stretch, I hope.

  9. Literary Feline says:

I am glad you and Jason were able to get some time away. I’m sure Gage enjoyed the time with his grandparents. My daughter loves the Who Was books. I learn a lot from them too. LOL I hope you have a great week!

  10. Gofita says:

Our dates have been running errands together! And picking up some food to eat in the car…lol. One day. Beautiful pic of the moon. So sorry about all that snow. I hope it’s warming up now and the snow is melting.
