This Week – Snow is here to stay

It snowed much of last weekend and it was the big snowflake, movie kind of snow.  Just beautiful.  It’s supposed to be another snowy weekend.

Highlights of the Week  We had dinner out with friends, followed by a 4th grade basketball game and then ice cream.  It was fun being back in a gym watching kids play basketball.  I wasn’t too many years older when I played.  IMG_3236  It was Gage’s movie night at school.  I worked the drink table so the kids kept me busy.  The kids are always so excited and it’s fun to see them with siblings and parents.  I also completed my 4 hour manager training for the Ohio primaries at the beginning of March.

Currently Reading Liars' Legacy Our Better Angels: Seven Simple Virtues… Morning Meditations: Awaken Your Power …

Listening To Exit Strategy (Nick Mason, #2)  Last week I started the Ruth Bader Ginsberg audio and really liked it, BUT it was too hard to appreciate with short trips around town.  I will be giving it another try when I have some real time on the road.

This Weekend  Jason and I will head to the movies tomorrow, but I’m not sure what we’ll see.  Any recommendations?

When your beautiful snowy weather pushes south, we end up with gray rainy cold weather here. That’s what last week was for us. When the sun comes back out, though (and it always does), it is gloriously cool and delightful. That’s what this weekend will be like.

I hope to get to Our Better Angels later in the month. It sounds like it should be mood-boosting.

I have no recommendations for movies, though I’ve heard good things about almost everything that came out over the holiday season. We watched Roma last night. Wow. Powerful story.

    Have a great week!

I meant to watch Roma after last year’s Oscars, but forgot about it. I’m getting close to the end of Better Angels and am sad that I’ll have to switch to something else in the mornings!

That much snow would have us shut down for weeks. I hope the snow stays away from here.

I loved Little Women but I’m not sure Jason would appreciate it. I want to see Just Mercy but haven’t had a chance yet.

It sounds like you had a busy and fun-filled week with the basketball game and movie night! I hope there will be a good turn out for the elections this year (both primaries and the big on in November). I think it’s great that you work the polls. It makes for a very long day, but well worth it, I am sure.

I hope you enjoy your week, Stacy. These next few weeks are going to be nonstop crazy around here, and I am mentally preparing myself. Haha. Happy Reading!

You know, I’m just about 4 hours south in Cincy but we haven’t had much snow at all this season. I believe we had one big one at the start of the season but it’s been mostly just cold and frigid since. Hopefully, we’ll see something before the season ends, but oh well, Spring is always preferable to winter.

Hope you have a great week!

We get hit with snow and then it’s warm the next day and it all melts! It’s been a weird winter for us. Gabe is playing youth basketball too. We love it.

Congrats on your training! That’s exciting. Good luck!

I don’t know if it’s still in the theater but Parasite is excellent!
