May’s Movies

A very manly movie month, well except for Pitch Perfect.  Did you see anything good this month?

Now it’s your turn.  Add your 5 words (or less!) to mine and earn $1 for charity.  Once we get to $100 the person with the most reviews will choose the charity.  Click here to see the past winners, the charities they chose and the other reviews you can add to.  Anyone is welcome to join in at any time.

We’re up to $92!!

I hope that you will take a few minutes to participate when you can each month.  It’s fun for me and for everyone else who reads it.  I’m not looking for a critical review, just a few words about how you felt about the movie.  This is ongoing so you can leave your 5 words anytime.

And also for Furious 7 – that last song and goodbye to Paul Walker was so sad. You said all the movies were guy movies mostly. Here’s a little secret about me – I really like ‘guy’ movies. And girl ones too, but give me superheroes, action, adventure. My hubby never has to convince me to see them. LOL

I like some guy movies, but I lost our yearly NCAA tournament bet so Jason picks the next 5 theater movies (he’s chosen 3 so far). This is the first F&F I’ve seen and i just couldn’t get past the horrible acting and plot. I did have a very hard time not crying in that last scene though, heartbreaking.

I haven’t seen any of these yet but plan to this summer PItch Perfect and Avengers. I have never seen any of the Fast and Furious franchise…I don’t think I’ll start anytime soon. But I’ve been catching up on movies from last fall and winter. The DUFF was really cute.

Mouse and I caught Cars on the Disney channel a couple months ago and we both thought it was cute. I enjoyed Avengers and Fast and Furious 7 (I’m not a fan of the franchise either, but for some reason, I really liked this one as unbelievable as it was). My husband and I caughter Pitch Perfect in the theater and enjoyed it–a total surprise to be since I usually don’t like those kinds of movies. I am curious about Pitch Perfect 2, but probably not enough to see it in the theater.

Avengers – Sadly, haven’t seen it yet.

Pitch Perfect – I ended up loving it!

Furious 7 – Not my type of movie.

Not being sense. It seems complicated, I know. If you’ve seen one of the movies then you can leave me a 5 word description of it in a comment (there are some above) and I’ll add it to my post. For every one that you contribute $1 goes into the pot and once it reaches $100 the money will be dontated to a charity. The person who has contributed the most reviews gets to choose the charity 🙂 It IS complicated but I started it years ago and have kept it the same. It seems to work 🙂

    I love “guy” movies …

We saw Furious 7 … I was a blubbering mess at the end. I’ve seen all the Furious movies, have been a huge fan since the very first one.

We saw San Andreas last weekend while grandparents gave us a date night. I enjoyed it, but Nathan was not impressed. But I’m a sucker for cheesy natural disaster movies.

I was emotional at the end of FF7 too even though I didn’t really like the movie, lol. Whenever I hear the song on the radion now it still makes me sad! Cheers for movie date nights! Gage’s grandparents are giving us one tomorrow night and it’s Jason’s turn to pick the movie (he’s got 5 in a row because of a lost bet :()
