I’m in Mexico, soaking up the sun! I have never really read Mexican literature. So, I’m hoping that you will leave me a comment suggesting your favorite Mexican authors or books.
I’ll pick one to read when I get home 🙂 I’m looking forward to your recommendations.

You must read “Like Water for Chocolate”, by Laura Esquivel! It’s such a lovely story, so full of magic… And each chapter begins with a woderful mexican recipe.
I can’t believe I forgot about this book! I read it years ago and loved it. I may have to read it again.
The Hummingbird’s Daughter!!! I just read it least month, and it was SO INCREDIBLE. (Have I written a review yet? Of course not, lol.) It looks long, but it reads really quickly.
Thanks for the suggestion, Eva. I’ve added it to my list 🙂
I had to pop in to see what others recommended. I also enjoyed LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE but haven’t read THE HUMMINGBIRD’S DAUGHTER (thanks for the suggestion, Eva!)
I was thinking Isabel Allende, but she’s Chilean, not Mexican!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation, it sounds lovely!
I do really enjoy Isabel Allende, Mexican or not 😉
