Highlights of the Week – I didn’t post about it, but the 7th was my 13th blogiversary! It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been sharing pieces of my life on this little slice of the universe for longer than I’ve been a mother. It boggles the mind. I’m SO, SO thankful for the many women (and men) I’ve met through book blogging over the years, some still blogging, some not, but we’re still in touch. I’m not always the most consistent blogger, but this always feels like home.
#booked365 is going strong. I’m 10 for 10 as you’ll see below. I’m feeling good about my chances of being successful in reading a book everyday, allowing for movies based on books when needed. I reading a book right now with the intention of watching the movie the next day and comparing them so you might hear about that next week.
#50in50 is going not as well 🙂 I’ve lost 8.2 pounds in the last month, so that’s good. I’m reading my Noom lessons and tracking my weight and meals, but my elephant sometimes overpowers my driver (noom analogy). I’ll get there. Still losing weight so that’s a good thing.
Low point of the Week – watching with my son the horror that we all saw unfold this week in our nation’s capital, a place I called home for 3 years. That’s all I’m going to say about it or I may not stop.

You can see how I felt about all of the books I read here. My #booked365 and #50by50 goals here.
On the TV
Jason and I watched the first season of Bridgerton.

Well done!
Plans for the Weekend
Jason’s dad sent Gage some fancy rockets that he and Jason are building and we’re going to take them to a field and watch them fly 600 feet or more in the air. Maybe I can get some exercise by chasing them around after they land who knows where.
Have a great week everyone!
Happy Blog Anniversary, Stacy! I can’t believe it’s been that long. I am so glad you started this blog and we’ve had a chance to get to know each other and watching our kids grow up. I feel like we have been through a lot together–even though we have never met in person.
You’ve got a great start on your goal this year. I know you can do it! I hope you are enjoying your current reads.
What happened in D.C. is just awful. I am praying these next couple of weeks or so go without incident, but I can’t help but worry.
I hope you and your family enjoy shooting off the rockets today. Sounds like fun.
Have a great week, Stacy!
The rocket launches were much more fun than I anticipated. We even had a family come over, at a distance of course, and watch our second launch that ended up on the roof of the school, lol. It was the baby rocket so they’ll build the two huge ones this week.
Wow! Congratulations on celebrating thirteen years on your blog, Stacy! That’s a wonderful accomplishment.
I love your goals for the year. I wish you much luck in working to accomplish them.
I’m trying to do everything I can not to think about the awful activity in Washington last week.
We hope to watch Bridgerton soon. We just finished Queen’s Gambit.
Back when my boys were young, we used to fire off rockets in Scouts. I can’t remember a time when they had more fun.
Have a good week!
The Queen’s Gambit was great! My husband is listening to the book right now and keeps telling me about the differences. The rocket launches were so much fun. We lost it after launch 2, but still have 2, even bigger rockets, to build and launch.
Congratulations on 13 years of blogging – that’s quite an accomplishment!! We’re hoping to get to Bridgerton soon. The events of this week brought my reading and viewing to a standstill… absolutely horrified by all that has happened and pray we get to Jan 20th safely.
I’m on edge and posting too much on Facebook, always an indicator that I need to step back for my peace of mind. So happy to have known you as long as I have 🙂
Happy, happy blogiversary!! That’s crazy that you’ve been blogging longer than you’ve been a mom. I’m glad you’re still around posting. I’m coming up on my 15th next month. Unbelievable.
You’re doing great with your reading challenge of 365 in a year. Congrats. Nice work on your weight loss, too!
I’m sorry Gage and all the other young children in our country had to witness what took place on the 6th. Horrifying. I fear for what may follow. Stay well and be safe.
How awful that gage had to witness the insanity this week. Congrats on 13 years, we started the same year as I will be 13 in the summer – June. Hope this week is calmer but, I’m sure we will get more buzz on what has transpired.
Happy Blogoversary 🎉
Congrats on your early success with your #365 goal!
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelley!
Stacy, I’m almost positive that I ‘knew’ you before Gage through your blog. Wow. Can’t believe it has been that long and the same goes for Wendy with Miss Mouse. Happy blogversary! Sounds like you are doing very well with all your new goals and challenges. And, girlfriend, you are going to ‘kill’ it with the Noom challenge. Baby steps. One day at a time. You’ll learn from every success and every challenge. That’s all I’ll say except to encourage you all the time!!
I’m pretty sure you were around when Gage was born. Time sure does fly 🙂 I’ve appreciated your friendship over the years.
Wasn’t Bridgerton so much fun! I loved it. Just what I needed to start of the year. Glad your goals are going well. Love seeing what you’re reading! I hope you have a great week despite all the crazy.
Bridgerton was just what 2021 ordered!
Congrats on your 13th. My 10th is coming up this Saturday, the 16th. Hard to believe it’s been that long.
