Fave pic off the week
We needed a new pic of the three of us!
Best part of the week Well, we spend some lovely hours today with our friends, the guys swimming and the moms talking non-stop, BUT I have to say getting a new AC after going over a week without one in the sweltering heat wins the week. The local fireworks with the three of us and my mom was nice too 🙂
Could’ve been better Remember how excited I was to go to the wedding reception last week and eat all of the wedding cake? Well, it turns out you can be at a wedding reception for 4 hours and still not get cake 😦
Reading I just started my first Mary Stewart.
Listening I just finished today and I loved it!
Watching on the small screen We’re still working our way through season 4 of Games of Thrones. Once we finish that we’ll catch up with the kids in Stranger Things.
Plans for the weekend It’s All-Star weekend here in Cleveland and they have a lot of fun things set up for kids downtown. Depending on the weather we’ll probably get there. And hopefully Jason and I will catch a movie when Gage is at Grandma’s tomorrow. There is also an Author Alley (20+ local authors all there to sign and sell their books) at my favorite independent bookstore tomorrow, but seeing how it’s 1:30 am I’ll have to decide if it’s worth it when I wake up.
Favorite thing I got in my mailbox The picture doesn’t do it justice but I love this postcard I received from Dennis in Los Angeles.
What’s been happening in your next of the woods?
I don’t know if we could have made it a week without air conditioning. We had issues with our downstairs unit last Sunday and had the HVAC guy out here bright and early Monday morning.
I loved the audio of Fangirl too.
A friend and I have talked about going to see Yesterday this week but haven’t made firm plans yet.
It was brutal here this past week and I was cranky the whole time. My body wasn’t made for so much humidity!
If you do get a chance to see a movie, Rocketman is the best bet. Yesterday was also very good.
It’s Jason’s pick but I’ll pass along your Rocketman recommendation. I know he wants to see it.
I am totally with you on how long it takes to get cake at a wedding reception – it takes FOREVER! I hate that! LOL
W have two more weddings in the next few months and we’ll have grandparent babysitters so I won’t be giving up after 4 hours. They won’t get rid of me until the cake is served!
UMMM cake. I’ve been eating the Keto way since March and a piece of wedding cake with lots of buttercream frosting is now floating through my brain! Nice family photo. My husband can’t take the heat so that would kill him. We had to get an evaporation fan for him during the last heat wave we had. Of course the day we got it, the heat broke. Happy Saturday!
I’m not Keto but have given up gluten, sugar and alcohol 6 days a week. Next month I add dairy to the list. That one day a week is what keeps me sane!
Beautiful picture Stacy. I think Gage is going to be tall like dad.
We’ll see. He’s still in the lower percentages for his age.
Love the family picture. Glad the AC didn’t take long, it has been brutal and we have used our more so far this summer than the last few. Enjoy your movie! Loved Fangirl too, it was great on audio.
It’s just been so sticky. With so much humidity it was pointless to shower unless I was immediately leaving the house to go somewhere with AC 😉
Thank goodness for AC! The book even sounds fabulous too.
I did end up at the event and it was a lot of fun. I should have taken more pics and posted about it.
*event*
I can’t remember the last time we had a photo taken of the three of us. Maybe we can get one the end of the month when our family is in town. Gage is getting so big! I love the photo! Sounds like you had a nice Fourth of July. And I’m glad you have AC again! Your weekend sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you were able to do everything you hoped to do! Have a great week, Stacy!
You too, Wendy! Keep that ground from shaking out there!
