So, I just posted info on the upcoming book sale in Cleveland. I have never seen a bookstore or or book sale (and some libraries) that I have not walked into. I knew I had a book buying problem. So, I decided it would be funny if I collected all the books that I have purchased, but not yet read, over the years and took a picture to show that I really did not need to attend another book sale. Well, here it is.
That’s Max looking a little nervous that all those books might topple over on him! So, instead of being funny, it made me a little sad that I had gotten this far behind 😦 I will go to the book sale this weekend, but I’m taking Jason to limit my craziness. But, then I need to spend a few months reading through my backlog before buying anything new.
So, please, take a look at the different FREE books I offer every month. I have already read them and need to pass them on.
Like they say, a picture is worth a . . . . . . . You’ve got some SERIOUS reading to do! I knew there was a real book lover in there when I read you your first book!
You’ll be happy to know that I limited myself to 10 books at the Case Western book sale last Saturday 🙂
Wow! That’s fantastic! And, we share several of the same books! 😀
My own piles are just as bad… you can see my collection here (via LibraryThing.com — unfortunately not as nice as viewing real pics of books, like you’ve shared here). 😉
Thanks for the challenge! I have not been using LibraryThing like I should. I’ll have to make a bigger effort to figure it out.
You posted this before I started blogging. I’m glad I’m not the only one with a book addiction.
In May I’ll take another picture and see how much progress I’ve made 🙂 Joining the Read Your Own Book Challenge has helped me focus on whittling down the pile.
I remember this! I love that you did this. My stacks of unread books are embarrassing. LOL
I’ve enjoyed watching this book area change over the years.
I wish I would have taken pics of my books over the years as I accumulated more and more. Now I’m at 3000+ and can barely remember back to when I only had 100. haha! We do love our books. 🙂
They really do weigh on us, don’t they? I’m working again this year on reducing the number of unread books in my house.
I have seen a couple of your TBR pics since, sure gave me a giggle, At least you know you’re not alone haha
I remember this post! Crazy how our book problems just keep getting worse 😉
Happy Bloggiversary! Book problems are usually chronic. Let me know if you find a cure.
