I’m currently reading Hot Stuff by Janet Evanovich & Leanne Banks, On the Run by Greg & Gina Hill, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. I’m listening to Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury in the car.

I’m slogging through The Great Upheaval: America and the Birth of the Modern World, 1788-1800 by Jay Winik, a professor of mine from grad school. I diagreed with his premise about 3 pages in, and haven’t found much to make me change my mind since. Disappointing, since his April 1865 was so good. There’s a Marshall bio waiting for me when I’m done . . .
I’m working on Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. The book is based on the true story of the author’s life, who escaped from an Austrailian prison after being convicted of armed robbery due to a drug addiction. Johnny Depp is in the process of making the movie that is slated to come out in 2009.
