May was a slow movie month for me. I was underwhelmed by what I saw. If you’ve seen any of the movies leave me your 1-5 words in the comments and I’ll add them to the post. Or, if you are feeling ambitious and want to do this on your own blog leave me a link in the comments and I’ll add it to the bottom of the post. Of course, you can always just comment
I’ve noted airplane movies because I’m not sure a nervous flyer like me should be completely trusted to give an accurate grade.
(2010. Cast – Robert Downey Jr. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson) Grade B-
Pretty Decent Sequel. Liked Rourke.
Over the top action sequel. (Heather)
Tony too full of himself. (Kay)
Sam Rockwell really rocks, baby. (Tony)
(2008. Cast – Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson) Grade B-
Liked Same As Book = Okay
Sparkly vampire with sullen teen. (Stephanie)
Imagined Edward differently – glitter anyone? (Kay)
Making sparkly vampires cool, obviously. (Tony)
(2010. Cast- Amy Adams, Matthew Goode) Airplane Movie Grade C+
Needed a Little More Heart.
Adams is cute, mediocre rom-com. (Heather)
(2010. Cast- Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Danny DeVito, Angelica Huston) Airplane Movie Grade C
Wanted To Like It More
Boring. Hit fast-forward alot! (Nolatari)
Almost embarrassed for the actors. (Heather)
My son loved Iron Man 2…I’ve yet to watch them but I’m sure I would enjoy Robert!!! 😀
When in Rome looked so cute too!! Will be one that I get from the library for 1.50 to watch!!
It always amazes me how much you actually learn about the movies from your 5 word reviews.
I loved the Iron Man movie!
I liked the first one more, but Mickey Rourke was an awesome bad guy!
I liked Leap Year, I think I liked the setting more. It was a gorgeous location, Scotland right?
The Ireland setting was great since we were flying by it when the movie was showing on the plane 🙂
I love Kristen Bell, but I hope she starts doing movies other than romantic comedies. She has the talent to do more.
I think so too. I like her, but this movie didn’t do much for her.
Iron Man and Twilight look really good! I’ll have to get them when they come out on Blu-ray.
I really liked Leap Year for some reason. I’d give it a B+. But that’s the only one on your list I’ve seen.
It’s possible that I would have liked it more if I had watched it in my living room on the couch. I’m pretty sure the bumpy plane ride didn’t help me like the movie more. I like both of the leads!
I thought Leap Year was cute, but it fell flat a bit…a bit too predictable, but overall all right. Twilight??? Rolling the eyes!!!
Ah, yes, but I rolled my eyes a lot while reading Twilight, so I thought the book and movie and book went together perfectly 🙂
I haven’t seen any of these, but it doesn’t look like I’m missing much.
Of those, I want to see Leap Year.
For Twilight —
imagined Edward differently – glitter anyone?
I think my imagined Edward was better and not so cheesy. My Bella was not so pretty and more clumsy. Jacob odd here, but better in later movies.
When In Rome: Boring. Hit fast-forward alot!
Iron Man 2: Over the top action sequel.
Leap Year: Adams is cute, mediocre rom-com.
When in Rome: Almost embarrassed for the actors.
Iron Man 2 — Tony too full of himself.
