This Week – I’m back

Fave pic

It’s Razzi for the win! We missed our cats while we were gone.

Highlights of the week- I’ve been waking up early to do some reading and journaling with a cup of coffee before Jason and Gage get up and it has changed my whole day for the better. I do sometimes want to rush through school so that I can take my after school teacher nap, but I’m so much happier when I make myself do it. And a happier teacher makes a happier student πŸ™‚

Some nice walking weather. Jason’s even been able to play tennis outside a few times and that’s a win for everyone.

My parents go in for their second vaccine shot this week.

Getting back on track from our almost month away. Hopefully I’ll get a post up on that this week, but the change of scenery, even while being mostly isolated, was good for all of us.

Movies Watched-

Mudbound (film).png Both of these good in different ways.

On the TV – Just watching Schitt’s Creek a few times a week for laughs.

Plans for the Weekend – Spending as much outside in the sun as possible in 40 degree weather.

And tonight is movie night so Gage gets to stay up as long as he wants watching movies with us. He is always the last one awake πŸ™‚

Razzi is so cute! I am glad your weather has been pleasant and you are able to go on walks regularly. We’ve been getting a lot of rain as of late. We got a nice lightning show last night. Yay for keeping up with your reading! I hope you have a great week, Stacy. Welcome home.

I became an early morning person when my sons were small; I desperately needed a few moments of quiet. I’m glad you have found this early time helpful.

Hurray for your parents. Second vaccine!

I have not seen Dictionary for a Better World. It looks like a book I would enjoy. Off to see if I can find it. I have enjoyed Wisdom of Sundays and Paper Kingdom. There were so many children at my school who experienced a life similar to Paper Kingdom. A lot of people just don’t realize what life is like for those who struggle to bring in enough money to keep everything going.

I LOVE Dictionary for a Better World! Gage and I will finish it Wednesday and I’m looking forward to sharing my love then πŸ™‚ I am a night owl. Always have been no matter how many times I get on a morning schedule. I go through bouts of insomnia which doesn’t help either. We’ll see how long I can keep this morning schedule going.

Good news for your parents! I’m still waiting for my group. My favorite time of the day is early morning. Coffee, a 30 min. walk and some reading. Perfect.

Dictionary for a better world seems good and The Night Gardener has a lovely cover!

Ha ha ha, a teacher’s nap. I haven’t had one in ages. But the holidays are around the corner. Yea! Then I can take lots of naps.

Have a good week and take care!

After we’re done with school he gets an hour on the ipad and I get an hour nap (most days). And usually it’s 30 minutes cat cuddling 30 minute nap, but it works πŸ™‚

Welcome home! Sounds like you’re settling back into a normal routine. I love my mornings these days – coffee and email, a walk, and some reading. My whole days seems better! Glad your parents got their vaccines. I got my first one last week, too.

I wish I could do the get up early thing. I’ve tried and I am not a great early morning person…but I do try to get me time in as soon as Gabe hits the online schooling. I have a schedule and if I stick to it, it makes the day so much smoother.

I love you have a movie night with Gage! So fun. Gabe would rather hit the sack than watch movies with us. lol.

Razzi! Adorable. I think my cats will freak out when we take off during the day again…probably in the fall. But then they’ll adjust and be uber annoyed when we come back home!

Glad your parents are on their way to being fully vaccinated. It’s a nice feeling to have.

I haven’t heard of A Little Chaos. But it has a stellar cast and I’m surprised I haven’t heard of it. I’ll have to look it up.

Schitt’s Creek is so good. Just throwing it on anytime is always a moodbooster for me!

I hope you can enjoy some lovely weather this week.
