I love when I have participation on my blog. It makes me happy 🙂 I want to thank all of you who add your thoughts (and 5 words) to my monthly 5 word movie reviews. For the second year in a row I’ve tied it to money for charity. In November, Kay (formerly of Purple Sage and Scorpions) offered to match my charity donation, thinking it was going to be $100. Well, since we were coming to the end of the year I opened the door for extra money to be earned and by the 31st, we had 148 reviews. When I contacted Kay she awesomely matched the $148 that I donated. We are lucky to know Kay.
With the deadline looming, Heather (Gofita’s Pages) went on a reviewing rampage and finished the year with 57 reviews! I guess she really wanted that money for the charity of her choice! Let me give you a hint for the charity she chose.

These are her kitties and the charity Heather chose is
The Humane Society!
Here’s what Heather had to say
“My favorite charity is The Humane Society. I love animals and the Humane Society is one way I can give back, along with having a rescue cat and two other cats. It can go to the main organization or to your local one. Either way, I know it’ll be used to help animals! Here are pictures of my kitties. I adore them!”
I think this is a great charity, especially since both Scout and Max are rescues too. Thanks to Heather (and Kay) $296 was donated to the national organization. I hope you’ll hop on over to their website to discover all of the wonderful things they do. And why not check out Heather’s blog too? She’s got some cute pictures of her son posted. I think Gage and Gabe would be friends 🙂

Love that the money is going to help precious furbabies!
Me too! I always get a little nervous about where the money will be going 🙂
What a wonderful donation to a great organization. Thanks Stacy and Kay!
Isn’t Kay awesome?
What precious pictures! We don’t have any cats anymore, but all of ours came from shelters. Our granddogs and grandcat as well. 🙂
Stacy, so glad you had this feature. So what will we watch in 2013?
So far I’ve watched 5 or 6 movies and didn’t love any of them. Maybe you need to tell me what tot watch!
Thanks, Stacy and Kay! I love movies and so being able to focus my movie watching and charitable donations is a great combo! Thanks again for this. Can’t wait to watch more films and review them this year! And next time we’re out that way we’ll be sure to get Gabe and Gage a meeting. I think they would be great friends too 🙂
Thanks for choosing such a great organization! Gage has a Gabe in his class of 8! We’ve already received some of his artwork by mistake 🙂
This is SO great! I’m a huge cat lover myself so I think it’s a great charity. I consider my cats rescues because if I wouldn’t have taken them, they may have ended up at shelters. Well done, Heather.
Looking forward to participating more this year, Stacy!
Cats are great aren’t they?
That’s a great donation to help our furry friends. Using your blog to benefit others is commendable. Your blog is wonderful!
Aw, thanks mom 🙂
Way to go ladies!
I think what you are doing here is great — and I love that you are finding generous souls to increase your goodness!!! And who wouldn’t want to help the Humane Society? I vow to watch more movies in 2013 so I can help out more!
I need to watch better movies this year, for everyone involved!
Thank you Stacy and Heather, this is a fantastic thing you’ve done for rescue animals. All of my cats are rescues to. I think it’s also great that Gage and Heather’s sone, Gabe, are being raised with cats who’ve been rescued. There’s lots of love in your homes!
My hubby would never let me have as many cats as you but he loves the one we have 🙂
Great choice of charities. My Lovebird is a rescue… although most people probably don’t think of birds when they think of pets that need to be rehomed.
I never thought of them until I read your post! So cute.
The animals! I too donate to the Humane Society. I would give them all a home if I could.
One rescue at a time 🙂
