I am very impressed with you all! I’ll do this one again in a few weeks. Extra entries for Nicole (2), Wrighty (4), and Jessica.
I thought I’d do something a little different this week. I was doing some shifting of books this weekend and was admiring some of the fun covers. Can you identify these books by their censored titles? Leave a comment with the number, title and author. If you are the first one to get it right you will earn an extra entry in my book giveaway. If you can get them all that would be a lot of entries!
1. The Quilter’s Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini, Nicole
2. The Little Friend by Donna Tartt, Heather
3. The Shop on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber, Wrighty
4. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, Heather
5. Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, Jessica
6. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Nicole
7. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling, Wrighty
8. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, Wrighty
9. Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella, Heather
10. Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz, Wrighty
Do I need to make them bigger?
Oh what a fun idea! Most of them look familiar too. Before I forget I have an award for you here.
Thank you, Wrighty! What a nice way to start a Monday morning 🙂
Let’s see how many I can get right from memory. These are just off the top of my head, it’s late and my brain is mush! Can I come back and try for more?
#3 The Shop on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber
#4 The Secret Life of Bees by
#7 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling
#8 The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
#9 Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
#10 Brother Odd by Dean Koontz
3, 7, & 8 are correct!
I need an author for 4. 9 is not correct, and 10 is VERY close.
Come back until you get them all 🙂
Well, darn. The only one I knew was #7 and Wrighty beat me to it.
I’m pretty sure you’ve mentioned #9 on your blog – although not as a book review.
2. The Little Friend – Donna Tartt
9. Confessions of a shopaholic – Sophie Kinsella
4. Secret Life of Bees – Sue Monk Kidd
although there’s really no need to enter me in the contest, I own all the Mary Doria Russell books (I ❤ the Sparrow big time!), it was just fun to play along. 🙂
Thanks for playing 🙂 Since you are obviously a fan I hope you enjoyed the interview.
#10 Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
I got beat to it but I realized what #9 was when I went to bed that night and saw one of the Shopoholic books on my shelf. I could not remember Sue Monk Kidd for the life of me the other night.
I think #6 is To Kill a Mockingbird?
Oops, forgot to add the author…Harper Lee.
#1 & #5 are a bit hard to distinguish in the picture, but, I think #1 is a Jane Austin or has Jane Austin in the title and #5 looks like it might be a Jack London? I’m going to take a stab at Call of the Wild.
No luck, but #5 did look like Call of the Wild, so I enlarged the photo.
What a great idea! Of course the only ones I recognize have already been identified. I really want to know what that first book is!
#5 – Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
A very FUN idea. You are clever.
#1 The Quilter’s Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini!
