Renee Zellweger Was In That? Quiz

Renée ZellwegerOn Friday I mentioned that I thought Bridget Jones Diary was my favorite Zellweger movie, so I decided to take a look.  I’ve seen 11 of her movies and Bridget Jones’s Diary was my favorite and since I’ve just told it would be #1 that one is a given.   I’ve listed her characters in the order that I like the movies  best.  Can you identify the movie?  Leave a comment telling me the # and the name of the movie.  No Googling – that’s cheating and no fun!

1. Bridget Jones – Bridget Jones’s Diary

2. Tami (blink and you’ll miss her) – Reality Bites – Strangelove

3. Roxie Hart – Chicago – Literary Feline

4. Ruby Thewes – Cold Mountain Wrighty Reads

5. Dorothy Boyd – Jerry Maguire Wrighty Reads

6. Bridget Jones – Bridget Jones Edge of ReasonWrighty Reads

7. Anne Arden – The Bachelor Life in the Thumb

8. Buckle Bunny – 8 Seconds

9. Lexie Littleton – Leatherheads Word Lily

10. Betty Sizemore- Nurse BettyWrighty Reads

11. Irene – Me, Muself & IreneBermudaonion

Is there a great Zellweger film I’ve missed seeing?  Let me know.

Answers to last week’s Veteran quiz are up here.

My guesses are already up. I can’t remember the title of the one where you’ll blink and miss her. I remember commenting that I didn’t know she was in the movie, but can’t recall the title. Fun quiz as usual.

  2. Calila says:

All the ones I know have already been guessed but I do know a RZ movie not mentioned. If you haven’t already seen Empire Records you should check it out. Such a funny movie.

I’ll add it to my movie list. I remember hearing good things about it.

  3. Bumbles says:

She bugs me for some reason so I’m not a huge fan. But I don’t believe you have her character from Cold Mountain on there. I didn’t see that one (because she bugs me) but I thought she was pretty highly acclaimed for her performance there.

I’m not a fan at all – she bugs me too. We only watched Cold Mountain recently. I had a book in my lap for when I planned on giving up on the movie half an hour in, but surprisingly I ended up enjoying it. Maybe it was the low expectations!

  4. Heather Z. says:

Oh! Miss Potter!!! It’s a relatively unknown movie that is absolutely wonderful. It’s about Beatrix Potter and her life. And it has Ewan McGregor as a love interest. That = happy day. ^_^

I really can’t stand her and i’m not much of a fan but, it seems as if I’ve seen more of her movies than I would have thought! I noticed 2 others that aren’t on your list that are “watchable”. Appaloosa and Down with Love, the second with the ever charming Ewan McGregor. Also, Miss Potter which I didn’t watch for the previously mentioned issue. Love your quizzes!

  6. Amanda says:

I never really noticed her until Empire Records. But I really loved her movie A Price Above Rubies. Just saw it once way back when but she was a great actress in it.

  7. Strangelove says:

Tami is from Reality Bites, a good Ben Stiller satire.

About her other movies, Appaloosa is a reasonable western, although she is not very good in it, making an irritating character.
Miss Potter is far from essential, really, so take a detour from that one.
Down with Love is good fun, a twist on 1960s relations. Ewan McGregor takes her interpretation up a notch because he is great!
Cinderella Man is a resonable effort in all accounts, but for me comes as a bit of an average movie. The actors are pretty good, though.
White Oleander is an imediate classic and a strong drama. If you want to see only one with her, this is the one!

    Best wishes!
